In the middle of the Namibian desert with only the local seal colonies to keep her company, Bianca Buitendag ventures just beyond the borders of her home country, discovering an oasis of wonder not many people have had the privilege of uncovering before. Could she be the first girl to ever surf Skeleton Bay
Skeleton Bay (AKA Donkey’s Bay) on the Skeleton Coast of Namibia is one of the world’s longest waves… The longest sand-bottomed left known to surfers, the wave produces perfect long barrels breaking only two metres from shore.
The downsides? Is’s literally in the middle of nowhere, the current is crazy and there are big sharks.
